Committees  

The following is a list of committee descriptions and their chairpersons. These are some of the leadership roles in our club. If you are interested in becoming a chairperson or a member of one of these committees, please contact Ken Walker.

Meeting Preparation

Samantha Webb - Prepares location for meeting, including setting up club banner, awards banner, podium, table flag; setting out bell, gavel, badge box, and new member packets; and setting up computer, projector and screen to display PowerPoint presentation.

Club Photographer

Samantha Webb - Takes photographs at club meetings of presentation inductions, awards, etc. Also takes, or arranges with another photographer to take, photographs at club service projects and fundraisers in the community.

Inter-clubs

Paul Campbell - Prepares schedule and encourages interest in inter-club visits in an effort to achieve Super Round Robin status at the end of the administrative year.

Meeting Programs

Jenni Moore - Actively seeks out, serves as a contact, and schedules local organizations wishing to present before the club at one of our weekly meetings.

Meeting Prayer

Rev. Betty Stapleford/Duane Hollinger - Provides invocation at our weekly meetings.

Sunshine

Rev. Betty Stapleford - Upon the approval and notification of the Board of Directors coordinates the purchasing and sending of flowers to club members who have experienced significant positive or negative events in their lives.

Local Community Service

Evan Rosche - Oversees community service projects at the local level. Each community service project requires a planning committee comprised of a chairperson and members. Chairpersons of each committee report their status to the Local Community Service Coordinator.

Thousand Oaks Teen Center

Evan Rosche - Arranges community service projects with TO Teen Center and keeps the club informed of new opportunities for service.

Habitat for Humanity

Marge Corridori/Duane Hollinger - Arranges community service projects with Habit for Humanity and keeps the club informed of new opportunities for service.

Ventura County Children’s Services Auxiliary

Jenni Moore - Arranges community service projects with VC Children’s Services Auxiliary and keeps the club informed of new opportunities for service.

My Stuff Bags Foundation

Jenni Moore - Arranges community service projects with My Stuff Bags Foundation and keeps the club informed of new opportunities for service.

CNH District Service

TBD - Oversees community service projects at the district level. Each district service project requires a planning committee comprised of a chairperson and members. Chairpersons of each committee report their status to the District Community Service Coordinator.

Kiwanis National Service

TBD - Oversees community service projects at the national level. Each national service project requires a planning committee comprised of a chairperson and members. Chairpersons of each committee report their status to the National Community Service Coordinator.

Kiwanis International Service

TBD - Oversees community service projects at the international level. Each international service project requires a planning committee comprised of a chairperson and members. Chairpersons of each committee report their status to the International Community Service Coordinator.

Fundraising

Duane Hollinger/Tom Toutz - Organizes and administers all fundraising activities for the club; forms a subcommittee for every fundraising event the club engages in; subcommittee chairpersons report their status to this position on progress and for assistance.

Human and Spiritual Values

Dee Talley - Organizes and administers projects that support spiritual development, provide human companionship and comfort, or offer counseling and guidance.

Membership Growth and Education

Paul Campbell - Organizes and administers all membership activities for the club, including Special Guest Days, membership drives and new member orientations.

Public Relations

Duane Hollinger - Organizes and administers public relations activities that involve promoting the club, its members, and its activities; speaks to media when warranted.

Club Bulletin

Ken Walker - Develops design of new club bulletin; obtains articles for each publication; distributes publication on a monthly basis to club members, division presidents and secretaries, and the district offices.

Internet Publishing

Ken Walker - Develops online club presence; populates website with current articles, photographs and events; periodically reminds club members to visit website.

Sponsored Youth

Ken Walker - Organizes and administers all youth activities for Kiwanis K-Kids, Builders, Key, Aktion and Circle K clubs.

Young Children: Priority One

Jenni Moore/Julie McKenna - Organizes and administers all projects for children, prenatal through age five. Projects can address maternal and child health, childcare, early development, nutrition, parenting education and support, advocacy, pediatric trauma, or safety.
